Who am i?

A little about me.

I have spent more than thirty years getting the best out of people. Twenty of those years were in the music industry. As a record producer I was lucky enough to work with some world renowned artists. This work was up close and personal while in a creative yet sometimes highly stressful envioronment. To be involved in this record making process was truly amazing. I worked hard, alongside others who were prepared to commit to the goal and won my fair share of awards (Numerous gold, silver, platinum disc’s and even a Grammy) along the way. I have always loved helping people to overcome their obstacles, fears and worries by empowering them, not just teaching them. Today I am happy to be able to use my new skill sets with my new clients, making ‘a new kind of music together’ and I love seeing the changes that we can make possible.

My Passion

I love people and I love to serve them.

My passion shows itself best, when I coach people. Not just coaching. Because coaching in all honesty, is just a tool and trust me when I say that I have much more than one tool in my skill set. To explore, discover, empower and most important of all, to transform the person I work with. Helping them become the best version of them selves, in any aspect of their life. I have a unique set of skills that are all focused on people, their behaviours and performance. Listening skills, communication skills, soft skills, performance skills, N.L.P. skills and even Cognitive Hypnotherapy skills. All of these skills are based on working with the conscious and unconscious mind, the emotions connected to this and most important of all, the human being that they are all carried around in.

I truly believe that we are all capable of achieving much more than we think might be possible. My experience has shown me this, time and time again. With so many different people and in so many different situations. (and I do love spending time on my bike!)

my passion

To serve people who love what they are doing and who may be thinking of starting a new project or a new direction.

my Experience

My journey has so far, been incredible.

I have enjoyed three successful careers since I was sixteen. All of them directly involved in working closely with people. I have been a Hotel Manager, a Record Producer and now a Coach. I love people and I love serving them.

my core values

I hate wasting time, mine or anyone’s.

I believe that we all hold the answers to our problems. Every obstacle really is an opportunity, if you look at it in the right way. Success can come from failure, so long as we are prepared to learn from it.

I first cut my teeth as a hotel manager for five years, after starting as a barman and waiter. While I enjoyed working with many different people, including both staff and customers, I still felt that something was missing and so decided to follow my heart and try to work with music.

For over twenty years I worked in a high-pressure industry that did not tolerate failure. Working more hours than I care to think about, I earned a reputation for being able to work with any artist and to get the best out of them. I had a truly amazing time and along the way had a direct hand in the making of records with world-wide sales totalling well over thirty million albums. Or to put that another way, I worked with highly creative people and sometimes, difficult teams, in a high stress environment to deliver projects on time and on budget which generated close to half a billion dollars worth of revenue. (and all in a pair of jeans and a tee shirt.)

After calling it a day with music (because trust me, 16 hour days in a small room wears a little thin with absolutely everyone eventually), I studied for three years, at Regents University to become a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master practitioner, a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and a solution focussed supervisor. How I wish I’d had these skill sets from when I began working with people at sixteen. I know so much more about how we tick. How a great deal of our day is not lived consciously, eg “on autopilot”. How we form habits and behaviours that even we are sometimes not even aware of. But what I really love is how this can be adjusted or upgraded. (a bit like a smart phone software update.) With my experience and new knowledge I now help people to find a better way of working whether they are alone or as part of a team.
