A little about me.

I have spent more than thirty years focussed on getting the very best out of the people I work with. Twenty of those years were in the music industry, as a record producer. I was lucky enough to work with some world-renowned artists and this work was up close and personal, while in a highly creative yet sometimes, highly stressful environment. To be offered the responsibility, by artists and record companies alike, to be involved in this process was truly amazing. I worked hard, alongside others who were prepared to commit to the goal and won my fair share of awards (Platinum, gold and silver disc’s) along the way. I have always loved helping people to overcome their obstacles, fears and worries helping them achieve more than they thought was possible. By empowering them in on their path to transformation.

Today I am happy to be able to use all my skill sets with my new clients, making ‘a new kind of music’ together and I love seeing the changes that together, we can make possible.

The stuff I'd rather you didn't know.

I have been divorced. I’ve been broke. I have spent the last 10 years successfully fighting cancer. I still sometimes, doubt myself and question my abilities. Every day I want to do more. More than I have done yesterday or the day before. I consider myself very lucky and yet I understand that it does not always mean good luck. I really do love a challenge and have a large tenacious streak. I am definitely a perfectionist, which comes with its own set of challenges. There are sometimes when I do feel afraid and in the past I have often felt powerless, even during my biggest successes! And one of my limiting beliefs is that I am not enough.

Yet I consider all of these things my gifts, because coupled with my empathy, it helps me to see the strength in others that I work with. Even when they are unsure of it and are doubting themselves.

If we did all the things we were capable of doing, we would literally astonish ourselves!

My passion.

I love people and I love to serve them.

My passion shows itself best, when I coach people and I truly believe that this is my calling. To explore, discover, empower and most important of all, to help transform the person I work with. Helping them to become the best version of themself, in any aspect of their life, be it work or play. Over the years I have aquired a fairly unique set of skills which are all focused on people, their behaviours and performance. Listening skills, communication skills, performance skills, N.L.P. skills and even Cognitive Hypnotherapy skills. All of these are based on working with the conscious and unconscious mind, the emotions connected to them and most important of all, the human being that they are all carried around in.

And if you really want to hear me brag?

For over twenty years I worked in a high-pressure industry that did not tolerate failure. Working more hours than I care to think about (10,000 in the first three years!), I quickly earned a reputation for being able to work with any artist and always get the best out of them. I had a truly amazing time and along the way had a direct hand in the making of records with world-wide sales totalling over thirty million.

Or, to put that another way, I worked with highly driven, creative people and sometimes difficult teams, in a high stress environment to deliver projects on time and on budget, which generated close to half a billion dollars worth of revenue!

(And all in a pair of jeans and a tee shirt.)

Then in my 40's, I went back to school!

After calling it a day with music (because trust me, 16 hour days in a small room wears a little thin with absolutely everyone, eventually), I fed my curiosity for knowledge around how our brain works and studied for three years at Regents University, London. this enabled me to become a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master practitioner, a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and a solution focussed supervisor. How I wish I’d had these skill sets from when I began working with people at sixteen. I know so much more about how we tick. How a great deal of our day is not lived consciously, eg “on autopilot”. How we form habits and behaviours that even we are sometimes not even aware of. But what I really love is how this can be adjusted or upgraded. (a bit like a smart phone software update.) With my experience and new knowledge I now help people to find a better way of working, playing, communicating and just being.
